No, this is not an article on submarines or a new medical device. Today we are going to discuss the video streaming app Periscope. Periscope is a free live video stream app for iOS and Android developed in 2014. The company was purchased by Twitter in early 2015 and was officially launched in March of 2015. In August 2015, it was announced that Periscope had surpassed 10 million accounts. It was noted that over 40 years worth of video was being viewed per day. Periscope has become one of the fastest growing social media apps in the last year.
